A Look Back: Corbin's History
Corbin has a short but interesting history. In 1887, a post office was opened there. A post office is a place where people can send and receive mail. This post office helped the people living in Corbin get their letters and packages.
However, the post office in Corbin didn't stay open for very long. It closed its doors in 1902. The community itself was named after an early settler, John Corbin. An early settler is someone who was among the first people to move to and live in a new area.
