Corwin's Story

A Busy Railroad Stop

For many years, Corwin was an important spot for the Missouri Pacific Railroad. It served as a "station and shipping point." This means trains would stop there to pick up and drop off goods, and sometimes even people. It was a busy hub for moving things in and out of the area.

The Old Post Office

Corwin also had its own post office. It first opened its doors in 1883. For many decades, it was where people in the community would send and receive their mail. However, as times changed and fewer people lived in the area, the post office eventually closed down in 1957.
