Craig Carlton Keith, born on April 27, 1971, is a former American football player. He played as a tight end in the National Football League (NFL). Craig played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was picked by the Steelers in the 1993 NFL draft. Before that, he played college football at Lenoir–Rhyne College.

Growing Up: Craig Keith's Early Life
Craig Carlton Keith was born in Raleigh, North Carolina. His birthday is April 27, 1971. He went to Millbrook High School in Raleigh.
College Football Career
Craig played college football for the Lenoir–Rhyne Bears. He was part of the team from 1989 to 1992. During his time in college, he caught 62 passes. These passes gained 723 yards and led to four touchdowns.
He was recognized for his skills in 1991 and 1992. He earned All-South Atlantic Conference honors. In 1992, he was also named an honorable mention All-American. This means he was one of the best players in his division.
Craig graduated from Lenoir–Rhyne with a bachelor's degree in 1995. He later earned his MBA in 2000. In 2016, he was honored by his school. He was added to their athletics hall of fame.
Playing in the NFL
Pittsburgh Steelers (1993–1994)
The Pittsburgh Steelers chose Craig Keith in the 1993 NFL draft. He was picked in the seventh round. He officially joined the team on June 3.
In 1993, Craig played in one game for the Steelers. The next year, in 1994, he played in all 16 games. He started one of those games. He caught one pass for two yards. He also played in one playoff game that year. He helped the Steelers on special teams and as a backup tight end.
Jacksonville Jaguars (1995)
On August 24, 1995, the Steelers traded Craig to the Jacksonville Jaguars. He joined the Jaguars for their very first season. He played in 11 games for them, starting two. He caught three passes for 20 yards. After this season, he became a free agent.
Miami Dolphins and San Francisco 49ers (1996)
Craig signed with the Miami Dolphins on April 26, 1996. However, he was released from the team a few months later.
He then signed with the San Francisco 49ers on July 29, 1996. But he was released just two days later.
Life After Football
After his football career, Craig Keith worked at Lenoir–Rhyne. He was a special assistant for the athletics director from 1998 to 2000. Then, he worked at North Carolina State University. From 2000 to 2002, he was an associate director there. Later, he started his own business. He created a carwash company called Bull City Carwash.
