Crescent, also known as Crescent Station, is a small community in McIntosh County, Georgia, USA. It's called an unincorporated community because it doesn't have its own local government like a city does. It's also a census-designated place (CDP), which means the US Census Bureau counts its population separately.

This community is located along State Route 99. It is about 12 miles north of Darien, which is the main city and county seat of McIntosh County. Crescent sits about 30 feet above sea level. It has its own post office with the ZIP code 31304.

History of Crescent

A post office was first opened in Crescent in 1890. The community got its name from a nearby coastal inlet. This inlet has a shape that looks like a crescent moon.

Population of Crescent

In 2020, the US Census officially listed Crescent as a census-designated place for the first time. At that time, its population was 838 people.
