Cristin verch Goronwy (also known as Christian verch Goronwy or Christiana ferch Goronwy) was an important woman in Welsh history. She was the second wife of Owain Gwynedd, who was a powerful prince or ruler in Gwynedd, a kingdom in Wales, during the 12th century.

Her Childhood

Cristin was born around the year 1105. Her birthplace was in a region called Tegeingl, which is now part of Flintshire in Wales. Her father was Gronwy (ap Owain) Owain, and her mother was Genilles V. (Hoedlyw) Owain. She also had a sister named Rymel verch (Goronwy) Gronwy. Her grandfather was Owain ap Edwin, who was a lord in Tegeingl.

Her Adult Life

In the end, Dafydd and Rhodri gained control of Owain's lands and inheritance.

Cristin also had other children. These included Margaret ferch Owain Gwynedd, Iefan ab Owain Gwynedd, Gwenllian ferch Owain Gwynedd, and Angharad ferch Owain Gwynedd.
