Crocodile Dentist is a super fun and simple game that many kids love! It was first released in 1990 by Milton Bradley. A smaller version, perfect for travel, came out in 1993. Today, Winning Moves makes the game. A talented person named Robert B. Fuhrer came up with the idea for Crocodile Dentist. He also created other popular toys and games, like Gator Golf.

How to Play Crocodile Dentist

The main goal of Crocodile Dentist is to avoid the crocodile's sore tooth. Players take turns pressing down on the plastic teeth inside the crocodile's mouth. Most teeth are safe to press. However, one tooth is the "sore tooth."

What Happens if You Pick the Sore Tooth?

If a player presses the sore tooth, the crocodile's mouth will quickly snap shut! The person who picked the sore tooth is the loser of that round. It's a game of luck and a little bit of suspense!

Differences in the Travel Version

The travel version of Crocodile Dentist had a small change in how you play. Instead of pulling teeth out, players pushed the teeth down into the crocodile's gums. This pushing action was later used in newer, full-sized versions of the game too.

Crocodile Dentist in TV Shows

Crocodile Dentist has even appeared on television! Sometimes, games show up in unexpected places, like popular TV shows.

A Funny Moment on The Price Is Right

In 1993, the game was featured on an episode of The Price is Right. This was a famous game show where contestants guessed prices. The show's host, Bob Barker, and model Janice Pennington decided to try out the travel version of Crocodile Dentist during the show. Bob Barker accidentally pressed the sore tooth! The crocodile's jaw closed on his finger, and he let out a surprised yelp. It was a funny moment that many viewers remembered.

Appearing in Men Behaving Badly

The game also made an appearance in an episode of the TV show Men Behaving Badly. In episode ten, the main characters were seen playing Crocodile Dentist. They were playing with Dorothy's ten-year-old nephew. It showed how the game is enjoyed by people of different ages.
