Cross Plains is a town located in Dane County, Wisconsin, in the United States. In 2000, about 1,419 people lived here. Part of the Village of Cross Plains is actually inside the town. Also, a small community called Pine Bluff is located within the town's area.

Most of this area, about 35.3 square miles (91.5 square kilometers), is land. Only a very small part, about 0.04 square miles (0.1 square kilometers), is water.
