Cross Plains is a small village in Dane County, Wisconsin, United States. It's a part of the larger Madison area. In 2020, about 4,104 people lived here. The village is partly located within the Town of Cross Plains.

History of Cross Plains

Cross Plains got its name from a settler who came from a place called Cross Plains in Cross Plains, Tennessee. The village officially became a village in the year 1920.
