Crystal Hill is a small place in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. It is called an unincorporated community. This means it is not an official town or city with its own local government.
Crystal Hill is located in Hill Township. You can find it along Crystal Hill Road. It is also close to where two major highways meet: Interstate 40 (I-40) and I-430.
History of Crystal Hill
In 1820, leaders in Arkansas decided to move the capital city. The capital was at Arkansas Post at that time. The governor, James Miller, bought land in Crystal Hill. He hoped the government would choose his land for the new capital. He wanted to sell it to them later and make money.
However, Crystal Hill was not chosen. The final decision was between Little Rock and Cadron. Little Rock won the vote and became the new capital. Governor Miller was not happy about this. He built a house in Crystal Hill and lived there for a while. He later moved to Massachusetts for a new job. Crystal Hill was never made into an official town.
