Cuba, Georgia facts for kids
Cuba is a small community located in Early County, in the U.S. state of Georgia. It's not a big city, but a quiet place where people live. You can find it just a short distance, about two or three miles, south of the town of Blakely, Georgia.
History
Even though Cuba is a small community, it has a bit of history.
A post office was opened in Cuba in 1883. This was an important place where people could send and receive letters and packages. However, the post office didn't stay open for very long. It closed down in 1890.
The community got its name from the island of Cuba. This shows how places in the United States sometimes get their names from other countries or famous locations around the world.
