Sir George James Cullum Welch (born October 20, 1895 – died July 28, 1980) was a very important British Army officer and a successful businessman. He was also a key member of the City of London Corporation, which is like the local government for the historic heart of London. He even served as the Lord Mayor of London from 1956 to 1957. He was known as Sir Cullum Welch.

Early Life and Education

Cullum Welch was born in 1895. His parents were James Reader Welch and Harriet Cullum. He grew up in a town called Chard, Somerset in England.

He went to school at Alleyn's School. This school helped him prepare for his future.

Sir Cullum Welch was a dedicated soldier. He served in the British Army during two major wars.

World War I Service
