Curtina is a small village located in the Tacuarembó Department in the central-northern part of Uruguay. It's a quiet place where people live and work, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Uruguayan countryside.

Where is Curtina?
Curtina is found right on Route 5, which is an important road in Uruguay. It's about 53 kilometers (around 33 miles) south of the city of Tacuarembó. A small river called the Arroyo Malo flows along the southern side of the village.
A Look at Curtina's History
Curtina has an interesting past! On July 5, 1907, a group of houses that used to be known as "San Máximo" officially became a "Pueblo," which means a village. This change happened because of a special law passed at the time. For a while, Curtina was even the main center for a local judicial area called "Arroyo Malo."
