Cutral Có is a city in Argentina. It is located in the Neuquén Province, in a part called the Confluencia Department. It is right next to another town called Plaza Huincul.
This city was started in 1933. It grew because oil was found in the desert nearby! Most of the jobs here are in the petrochemical industry. This means they work with oil and gas to make different products. Big companies like Repsol-YPF and Petrobras have operations here.
In 1992, a big oil company called YPF changed how it worked. This meant many people in Cutral Có lost their jobs. This led to important community actions in the city.
There are plans to bring water from the Río Neuquén to the area. This would help start farming in the region. The city also used to have its own airport.
