The Story of Cypress Grove
How Cypress Grove Started
Cypress Grove began its journey in 1983. It was founded by a person named Mary Keehn. The company first started in a town called McKinleyville, California. Mary Keehn had a passion for making unique goat cheeses.
Moving to a New Home
As the company grew, it needed more space. So, in 2004, Cypress Grove moved its operations. They moved to a nearby city, Arcata, California. This move helped them make even more of their popular cheeses.
Joining the Emmi Family
On August 22, 2010, Cypress Grove became part of a bigger family. A Swiss company called Emmi bought Cypress Grove. Even though it was bought by a Swiss company, Cypress Grove's cheese-making operations stayed right in Arcata, California. They continue to make their special goat cheeses there today.
