Cárthach Bán Breathnach is an Irish actor and broadcaster. He is famous for his roles in the TG4 TV shows Aifric and Ros na Rún. These shows are in the Irish language. Cárthach grew up in Indreabhán, a place in Connemara where Irish is spoken. His dad, Seán Bán Breathnach, is also a well-known radio broadcaster.

Acting Roles
Cárthach played the character Jimín Ó Gríofa in the Irish language TV series, Aifric. This show first aired in 2006. He also acted in the soap opera Ros na Rún. In Ros na Rún, he played Aodhán, a secondary school student who pretended to be a doctor. Interestingly, Cárthach has a twin sister, Léan Bán Breathnach. She also acted in both Aifric and Ros na Rún.
Broadcasting Work
Besides acting, Cárthach has worked as a DJ. He was a DJ on i102-104, a local radio station in the west of Ireland. He has also shared his thoughts on sports. You might have heard him on sports shows on RTÉ and TG4.

More recently, Cárthach has taken on a coaching role. As of 2019, he was the hurling manager for his local GAA club. This club is called Cumann Mícheál Breathnach. Hurling is a fast-paced Irish sport played with sticks and a ball.
