Aifric was a cool TV show from Ireland, made for young people like you! It was all in the Irish language. The show was created by Tadhg Mac Dhonnagáin and Paul Mercier. Guess what? It won lots of awards, like the IFTA award for "Best Children's/Youth Program" many times!

The first episode of Aifric came out on October 31, 2006. This was a special day because it was also the tenth birthday of the TV channel TG4! There were thirteen episodes in total, and a new one came out every week.

The story is about a 14-year-old girl named Aifric. Her family is a bit unusual, and they've just moved to a new town in the West of Ireland. All Aifric wants is to fit in and make new friends, but she feels her family makes it hard for her. Her mom is a free-spirited person who doesn't like TV, and her dad dreams of being a rock star. Plus, her little brother is super annoying!

Aifric wasn't just shown in Ireland. It also played on BBC Alba in Scotland, where it was changed into Scottish Gaelic. It even went to Latin America on HBO Latin America, where it was translated into Portuguese and Spanish!
