César Aparecido Rodrigues (born on October 24, 1974), known simply as César, is a Brazilian former footballer. He played as a left midfielder or a left-back. Today, he works as a youth coach for Lazio.
César achieved great success during his playing career. He won two Serie A titles with Inter. He also won two Coppa Italia titles, one with Inter and another with Lazio. He even played for the Brazilian national team twice in 2001.

César's Football Journey
Early Career in Brazil
César was born in São Paulo, Brazil. He began his football journey at CA Juventus. This was a smaller team in São Paulo at the time.
Later, he joined São Caetano. Here, César quickly became a very important player. He even became the team captain. He helped his team move up from lower leagues. They reached the finals of the National Brazilian championship in 2000.
Playing in Italy
In the summer of 2001, César moved to Italy. He joined Lazio, a big team in the Italian Serie A league. He became a key player for the Roman club.
In January 2006, Inter Milan loaned César. This gave him a chance to play for one of Italy's top teams. When his contract with Lazio ended in the summer of 2006, César officially joined Inter. He signed a long-term contract with them.
Loan Spells and Return to Brazil
After joining Inter, César was loaned to Corinthians. This is a major Brazilian Série A team. However, by December 2006, César wanted to return to Italy. He then signed with Livorno on loan in January 2007.
He played his first Serie A match for Livorno against Inter in February 2007. He started the 2007–08 season well with Internazionale. He worked well with Maxwell on the left side of the field. He even scored a goal.
Later Career and Retirement
In the summer of 2008, César's contract with Inter ended. He did not sign with a new club right away. On November 18, 2008, César joined Bologna. His former assistant coach at Inter, Siniša Mihajlović, was the coach there. In October 2009, he joined Valle del Giovenco. This was an Italian third division club.
Coaching Career
In August 2011, César decided to stop playing football. He accepted a coaching job at S.S. Lazio. He was put in charge of their Giovanissimi Provinciali B youth team. This means he now helps train young, upcoming football players.
