Dällikon is a small town, also called a municipality, located in Switzerland. It's part of the Dielsdorf district in the canton of Zürich.

A Look at Dällikon's Past
Dällikon was first mentioned in old writings in the year 870. Back then, its name was Tellinghovon.
Later, in 1843, a nearby village called Dänikon decided to become its own separate town. Before that, it was part of Dällikon.
Where is Dällikon?
Dällikon covers an area of about 4.5 square kilometers (about 1.7 square miles). A large part of this land, about 45%, is used for farming. Forests cover about 32.4% of the area.
About 22.1% of the land has buildings or roads. A very small part, 0.4%, is non-productive land like rivers. The town is located in a valley called Furttal, on the northern side of the Altberg mountain.

Getting Around Dällikon
Dällikon has a train station called Buchs-Dällikon railway station. It is a stop on the S-Bahn Zürich train line S6. There are also two bus lines, 491 and 449, that go through Dällikon.
