David Bryan Woodside (born July 25, 1969) is an American actor. He is famous for his many roles on TV shows. You might know him as the angel Amenadiel in the series Lucifer. He also played Robin Wood in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Wayne Palmer in the exciting show 24.

Early life and Education
David Bryan Woodside was born in Jamaica, a part of New York City in Queens. This happened on July 25, 1969.
He went to the State University of New York at Albany and earned a degree there. Later, he studied acting at the Yale School of Drama.
Acting Career
Woodside started his acting journey in 1996. His first big role was Aaron Mosley in the TV show Murder One. After that show ended, he appeared in many other popular TV series.
Early TV Roles
He was a guest star on shows like The Practice and Once and Again. From 2002 to 2003, he played Robin Wood in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In this show, he was the principal of Sunnydale High School.
Becoming a TV Star
Woodside then joined the cast of the thrilling series 24. He played Wayne Palmer, who was the Chief of Staff. He first appeared in the third season. Later, he returned to the show as a regular cast member in the sixth season, playing the President of the United States.
In 2004, he had a guest role in CSI. He also appeared in an episode of Grey's Anatomy in 2007. Woodside was also a guest star in the final episode of the show Monk.
Recent Work
From 2011 to 2014, Woodside was a main character, Malcolm Franks, in the VH1 series Single Ladies. In 2014, he started playing Jeff Malone in the legal drama Suits.
A very well-known role for him began in 2016. He started playing the angel Amenadiel in the series Lucifer. This show was first on Fox and then moved to Netflix. In 2023, he played Erik Monks, a U.S. Secret Service agent, in the Netflix series The Night Agent.
