Daisuke Tomita (冨田 大介, Tomita Daisuke, born April 24, 1977) is a former Japanese football player. He was known for playing as a defender.

Daisuke Tomita's Football Journey

Daisuke Tomita was born in Ube, Japan, on April 24, 1977. After finishing university, he began his professional football career in 2000. He joined Mito HollyHock, a team that had just moved up to the J2 League.

Becoming a Key Player

From his very first season, Daisuke became a regular player for Mito HollyHock. He started as a defensive midfielder, helping to protect his team's goal. In 2001, he changed his position to a center back, which is also a key defensive role. He played many games for Mito HollyHock until 2003.

Moving to Omiya Ardija

In 2004, Daisuke moved to another J2 League team, Omiya Ardija. He quickly became a regular center back there too. That year was very exciting for Omiya Ardija! The team finished second in the league, which meant they were promoted to the J1 League for the first time ever. This is the top football league in Japan. Daisuke continued to play more than 30 matches each season for Omiya Ardija until 2008, showing how important he was to the team.

Later Career and Retirement

In 2010, Daisuke joined Vissel Kobe, another J1 League team. However, he didn't get to play as much there. He then moved to Ventforet Kofu in 2011. After a couple of seasons, he returned to his first club, Mito HollyHock, in 2013. He played regularly again in 2013, but his playing time decreased in 2014.

After that, he moved to Tokushima Vortis in 2015. He continued to play for a few more years. In 2018, he had one last return to Mito HollyHock. After that season, Daisuke Tomita decided to retire from professional football. He had a long and successful career, playing many games as a strong defender.
