History of Daleville
Daleville was started by a man named Alexander "Campbell" Dale. He was a veteran from the American Revolutionary War. His family settled in the area in the 1820s.
The town was officially planned out in 1838. This means its streets and lots were mapped. Daleville is one of the newer towns in Indiana. It officially became a town in 1982.
The local high school baseball team, the Daleville Broncos, has had great success. They won the Indiana high school state championships in 2016 and 2018.
