Dallas Alonzo Comegys (born August 17, 1964) is a former American professional basketball player. He played as a Power forward and had a long career in both the NBA and international leagues.

Dallas Comegys: A Basketball Star

Dallas Comegys was a talented basketball player known for his skills on the court. He played for many teams during his career, both in the United States and in other countries.

Early Career: College Days

Dallas Comegys played college basketball for the DePaul Blue Demons team. He was part of the NCAA Division I, which is the highest level of college basketball. He played there from 1983 to 1987.

Pro Basketball Journey

Dallas Comegys began his professional career after college. He was chosen by the Atlanta Hawks in the 1987 NBA draft. He was the 21st player picked overall that year.

NBA Teams

Soon after being drafted, Comegys was traded to the New Jersey Nets. He played 75 games for the Nets during the 1987–88 season. He averaged about 5.6 points per game. He also grabbed 218 rebounds and made 70 blocks.

In August 1988, Comegys was traded again, this time to the San Antonio Spurs. He played 67 games for the Spurs in the 1988–89 season. With the Spurs, he averaged 6.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game.

Playing Overseas

After his time in the NBA, Dallas Comegys moved to Europe. He played a big part of his career in Italy. He mostly played in the second division, called Serie A2. He also played some games in the top Italian league, Serie A.

In Italy, he played for teams like Banco di Sardegna Sassari, Fortitudo Bologna, and Comerson Siena. While playing for Siena in 1995, he was the top rebounder in the Serie A league. He also played for SNAI Montecatini.

Comegys also played in Spain for Oximesa Granada. This was his first time playing basketball outside of the U.S. He also played in Turkey for Fenerbahçe and Pınar Karşıyaka.

Later Career

Later in his career, Dallas Comegys played in Israel for Maccabi Tel Aviv. He also played for several minor league teams in the United States. His career spanned from 1987 to 2006.
