Damaris Lennon Phillips (born December 8, 1980) is an American chef and television star. She is famous for her delicious Southern cooking. In 2013, she won the ninth season of the TV show Food Network Star. After winning, she hosted her own show, Southern at Heart, for five seasons. Later, she started co-hosting The Bobby and Damaris Show with Bobby Flay.

Becoming a Food Network Star

In early 2013, Damaris Phillips joined the TV show Food Network Star. This show looks for the next big cooking star. She was one of the top three contestants. For the final challenge, she filmed a test episode for a show called Eat, Date, Love. On August 11, 2013, Damaris was announced as the winner!

Hosting "Southern at Heart"

Winning Food Network Star meant Damaris got her very own show. It was called Southern at Heart. The show first aired on October 27, 2013. It taught viewers how to make tasty Southern dishes.
