Damion Delano Stewart is a talented Jamaican footballer who was born on August 18, 1980. He played as a strong defender for many teams. His last team was Perlis FA in the Malaysia Premier League.

Damion Stewart's Club Journey

Playing for Harbour View FC

Damion Stewart started his football journey in Jamaica with Harbour View FC. Fans gave him the fun nickname "Stew Peas" there. He was a very strong defender for the team. With his help, Harbour View FC won the Jamaica National Premier League in 2000. They also won the CFU Club Championship in 2004. In 2005, he almost joined an English team called Darlington. However, the move did not happen.

Time at Bradford City

In the summer of 2005, Damion moved to England. He joined Bradford City on a loan for the 2005–06 season. He played his first game for Bradford on August 9, 2005. He came on as a substitute in a match against Southend United.

Damion scored his first goal for Bradford City in a 1–0 win against AFC Bournemouth. This goal helped his team avoid relegation. He played 23 league games during his time there. Bradford City finished 11th in League One that season.

Playing for Queens Park Rangers

Damion's great performance at Bradford City led to a move to Championship team Queens Park Rangers. He joined them for a good transfer fee. After a bit of a tricky start, Damion became a key player for Queens Park Rangers.

He played over 80 games for the team in the 2006–07 and 2007–08 seasons. In the 2007–08 season, he scored five goals. He also had two red cards that season. A memorable moment was when he scored the only goal. This helped QPR beat Aston Villa 1–0 in the 2008–09 League Cup.

Moving to Bristol City

In July 2010, Damion joined Bristol City. He signed a three-year contract with them. He made his Championship debut for City on August 7 against Millwall. In that game, he received two yellow cards, which meant he was sent off. A week later, he scored his first goal for Bristol City against Doncaster. He left the club on August 31, 2012.

Loan to Notts County

On January 5, 2012, Damion joined Notts County. This was a loan deal that lasted until the end of the season.

Signing with Notts County

After his loan, Damion signed a short-term contract with Notts County. He officially joined them on November 2, 2012.

Adventures with Pahang FA

On April 5, 2013, Damion Stewart moved to Malaysia. He joined the team Pahang FA. He was 32 years old at the time. Damion impressed everyone in friendly matches. He showed great leadership skills on the field. He formed a strong defense with his teammates.

On November 3, 2013, Damion helped Pahang win the Malaysian Cup. This was a huge achievement for the club. It was their first Malaysian Cup win in 21 years! He also helped them win the Malaysian Cup again in 2014.

After his successful time with Pahang FA, Damion joined Perlis FA. The coach, Dollah Salleh, confirmed his signing in July 2016. Damion joined the team during the second transfer window. He was brought in to make the team stronger for the rest of the 2016 Malaysia Premier League season. In July 2017, he left Perlis FA.

Damion Stewart's International Career

Damion Stewart also played for his country, Jamaica. He was part of the Jamaica Under-20 and Under-23 youth national teams. He made his first international appearance for the Jamaica National Football Team in 1999. This game was against Ghana. He played in several big tournaments. These included the CONCACAF Gold Cups in 2003, 2005, and 2009. He also played in many World Cup qualification matches.

Damion Stewart as a Coach

After his playing career, Damion Stewart became a coach. In 2019, he was named the head coach of Harbour View FC. This was the same club where he started his professional playing career.
