Damion Delano Stewart, born on August 18, 1980, is a professional footballer from Jamaica. He played as a defender. His last team was Perlis FA in the Malaysia Premier League.

Club Career Highlights

Playing for Harbour View FC

Damion Stewart started his career with Harbour View FC in Jamaica. Fans gave him the nickname "Stew Peas." While playing as a strong defender, his team won the Jamaica National Premier League in 2000. They also won the CFU Club Championship in 2004. In 2005, he tried out for Darlington in England. He was supposed to sign with them, but the move did not happen.

Time at Bradford City

In the summer of 2005, Damion moved to England again. He joined Bradford City on a loan for one season. He played his first game for Bradford as a substitute on August 9, 2005. He scored his first goal in a 1-0 win against AFC Bournemouth. This goal helped Bradford avoid being moved down to a lower league. He played 23 league games for Bradford that season.

Joining Queens Park Rangers

After his good performance, Championship team Queens Park Rangers bought Damion. He had a bit of a tough start. But he soon became a key player for the team. He played over 80 games in the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons. In the 2007-08 season, he scored five goals. He also scored the only goal in a big win. This was when QPR beat Aston Villa 1-0 in the 2008-09 League Cup.

Moving to Bristol City

In July 2010, Damion signed a three-year contract with Bristol City. He made his debut for them on August 7. He scored his first goal for Bristol City a week later against Doncaster. He left the club on August 31, 2012.

Loan and Move to Notts County

On January 5, 2012, Damion joined Notts County on a loan. He stayed with them until the end of that season. Later, on November 2, 2012, he signed a short-term contract to play for Notts County permanently.

Playing for Pahang FA

On April 5, 2013, Damion joined Pahang FA in Malaysia. He was 32 years old at the time. He played very well in friendly matches. He became a strong leader in defence for Pahang. On November 3, 2013, Damion helped Pahang win the Malaysian Cup. This was a big win for the team, as they had not won it in 21 years.

Playing for Perlis FA

After his successful time with Pahang FA, Damion joined Perlis FA. This happened in July 2016. The coach, Dollah Salleh, signed him to make the team stronger. Damion was released from Perlis FA in July 2017.

International Career

Damion Stewart played for Jamaica's national youth teams. He played for the Under-20 and Under-23 teams. He made his first game for the Jamaica National Football Team in 1999. This game was against Ghana. He also played in the CONCACAF Gold Cups in 2003, 2005, and 2009. He took part in many World Cup qualification matches too.

Managerial Career

In 2019, Damion Stewart became a coach. He was named the head coach of Harbour View FC, his old club.
