Dan Mori's Football Journey
Starting at Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv
Dan Mori began his football career with Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv. He joined the club when he was thirteen years old. In 2008, he moved up to the main team.
During the 2008–09 season, Mori scored his first goal in a European competition. This happened in the Europa League, where Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv won 4–0 against Dinaburg.
In the Israel State Cup final, Mori played for his team. However, Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv lost the match 3–1 to Hapoel Tel Aviv. Overall, Mori played 123 games for Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv and scored four goals.
Playing for Vitesse in the Netherlands
In the summer of 2012, Mori moved to the Netherlands to join Vitesse Arnhem, a club in the Eredivisie league. He signed a three-year contract.
After being on the bench for two months, Mori played his first game for Vitesse on October 27, 2012. It was a 2–2 draw against Groningen. However, Mori spent most of his time on the bench during his first season. This continued into the 2013–14 season. Mori mentioned in an interview that he wanted more playing time.
In January 2014, Vitesse planned a training camp in the United Arab Emirates. Mori was not allowed to enter the country because of his nationality.
Returning to Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv
On October 25, 2015, Dan Mori returned to play for Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv.
Joining Beitar Jerusalem
On June 9, 2016, Mori signed a two-year contract with Beitar Jerusalem.
Dan Mori's International Career
In 2008, Dan Mori was selected to play for the Israel U21 squad. Two years later, he was called up to the main Israel squad.
On March 3, 2010, Mori made his first appearance for the national team. He came into the game as a substitute in the 70th minute. Israel won that match 2–0 against Romania.
About Dan Mori's Personal Life
In 2011, Dan Mori changed his first name from Dean to Dan. He believed that the name "Dean" had a meaning that was not suitable for Jewish people. A religious leader named Chaim Kanievsky helped him with this name change.
