Daniel Calparsoro was born in Barcelona, Spain, on May 11, 1968. He grew up in two towns called Hondarribia and San Sebastián. These towns are in a region of Spain called Gipuzkoa.
He studied Political Science in Madrid. At the same time, he also studied filmmaking. Later, he went to New York to learn even more about making movies.
