Daniel went to Christ's College at the University of Cambridge. This was a famous university where he studied.

Becoming a Politician

After his father passed away in 1685, Daniel Eliot took over the family home, Port Eliot. He then married Katherine Fleming. They had one daughter, also named Katherine, who later married a man named Browne Willis in 1707.

Daniel Eliot served as a Member of Parliament for many years. He represented the people of St Germans in the Parliament. This was a very important job, as he helped to shape the laws and future of England.

His Legacy

When Daniel Eliot passed away, he left Port Eliot to his cousin, Edward Eliot. Edward also became a Member of Parliament, continuing the family's tradition of public service.
