Professor Bulfinch and his friend, Dr. Tresselt, are both scientists. Dr. Tresselt is a geologist, someone who studies rocks and the Earth. They see a great chance to use the new X-ray machine inside the cave.
So, the two adults, along with Danny, Joe, and their friend Irene, go into the cave. They are on an exciting expedition. Inside, they make a truly astonishing discovery!
