Football Career Highlights
Starting Out in Football
Dany Nounkeu began his football journey at Collège Vogt Atletic in Yaoundé, Cameroon. In July 2005, he joined FC Metz in France. He played for their reserve team in a French amateur league. Later, he moved to CSO Amnéville, another team in the same league.
In July 2008, Nounkeu joined Pau FC. He played in 24 matches during the 2008–09 season for this team.
Playing for Toulouse
On June 5, 2009, Dany Nounkeu signed a four-year contract with Toulouse FC. This club plays in Ligue 1, France's top football league. He played his first professional game on September 12, 2009. It was an away match against AS Nancy Lorraine that ended in a 0–0 draw.
During his first season, Nounkeu played in 17 matches. His team finished 14th in the league that year.
Moving to Turkey with Gaziantepspor
On September 1, 2010, Nounkeu moved to Turkey. He signed a three-year deal with Gaziantepspor, a team in the Süper Lig, Turkey's top football league. He played his first game for them on October 30, 2010. It was a 0–0 home draw against Karabükspor.

International Matches
Nounkeu represented his home country, Cameroon, in international football. In 2003, he played for the Cameroon U17 team. They took part in the 2003 FIFA U-17 World Championship in Finland.
His first call-up to the senior team was in November 2004. He also played in the LG Cup in 2011 in Morocco. During that tournament, he scored a penalty kick against the host team, Morocco.
Nounkeu was part of Cameroon's team that played games to qualify for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He was then chosen for the final team to play in the tournament in Brazil. He played in two of Cameroon's three games there, including one start against Croatia.
