In 2003, Daphne won a beauty pageant title called Unduk Ngadau Kuala Lumpur. She then represented Kuala Lumpur and became the first winner from the city to win the state-level title.

Hosting Popular Shows

Daphne quickly became famous as the host of Explorace in 2004. This was a reality show similar to The Amazing Race, where teams competed in challenges. She was known for her energetic personality. She hosted Explorace for two years.
