A Look Back: History of Darlington
Darlington started as a settlement in 1804. It officially became a borough on March 28, 1820, and was first known as Greersburg. The town changed its name to Darlington on April 6, 1830. It was named after S. P. Darlington, who was a merchant from the city of Pittsburgh.
