Darrell Williams (born September 15, 1989) is an American former professional basketball player. He played as a power forward and center. Williams is known for his strong rebounding and scoring skills on the court.

High School Basketball Journey
Williams played high school basketball at Dunbar Vocational High School in Chicago. In his senior year, he helped his team win a district title with a perfect 10–0 record. He also led them to the regional semifinals in Class 4A. In one important game against Bowen, he scored 20 points, grabbed 20 rebounds, and blocked 8 shots.
College Basketball Career
Freshman Year at Chipola College
Williams started his college basketball career at Chipola College. During his freshman season, he averaged 7.4 points and 6 rebounds per game. He helped the Chipola Indians finish third in the NJCAA national tournament, with an impressive 34–2 record. In the third-place game, he scored 18 points, had 14 rebounds, and made 4 assists.
Sophomore Year at Midland College
For his sophomore year, Williams played at Midland College. He had a great season, averaging almost 14 points and more than 10 rebounds per game. This is called a "double-double" when a player gets double-digit numbers in two different stats. He also shot very well, making 54.2 percent of his shots. He helped his team achieve a 30–3 record. Williams recorded 13 double-doubles that season and was considered one of the top junior college players.
Junior Year at Oklahoma State
After his time at junior colleges, Williams received offers from several big universities. He chose to play for Oklahoma State for his junior season. He played in 23 games for the Cowboys and started 12 of them. He was the team's best rebounder, grabbing 7.3 rebounds per game. He also averaged 7.1 points per game.
Senior Year at Texas A&M–Commerce
Williams spent his senior year playing for Texas A&M University–Commerce. He had an amazing season for the Lions, averaging 18.5 points and 12.4 rebounds per game. He was second in the NCAA DII with 23 double-doubles. He led the Lions to a 24–8 record and helped them win the Lone Star Conference (LSC) tournament championship. Williams was named the MVP (Most Valuable Player) of that championship game. He also earned honors like LSC Newcomer of the Year and LSC Player of the Year. He was recognized as the South Central region player of the year and a Daktronics first-team All-American.
Professional Basketball Career
After college, Darrell Williams was not chosen in the 2015 NBA draft. However, he joined the Chicago Bulls for the 2015 NBA Summer League. In 5 games, he averaged 3.8 points and 4.6 rebounds.
Playing in Belgium
In August 2015, Williams signed his first professional contract with VOO Wolves Verviers-Pepinster in Belgium's Scooore League. He played 10 games there, averaging 17.2 points and 10.7 rebounds in about 26 minutes per game.
Time in Serbia
On January 8, 2016, Williams signed with the Serbian club Partizan Belgrade for the rest of the season. He made his debut for Partizan on January 16, 2016, in the ABA League, scoring 4 points and grabbing 4 rebounds in 14 minutes.
Playing in Israel
On July 8, 2016, Williams joined Hapoel Tel Aviv B.C. in the Israeli Premier League. He played there until April 2017, averaging 11.7 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. A week later, he signed with Bnei Herzliya for the rest of that season.
NBA Summer League Return
In 2017, Williams was invited to play in the NBA Summer League again, this time with the Golden State Warriors. In three games, he averaged 3.3 points and 2.0 rebounds in about 5.5 minutes per game.
Playing in Turkey and France
On November 6, 2017, Williams signed with the Turkish club Yeşilgiresun Belediye. The next year, on June 27, 2018, he signed with the French club ESSM Le Portel.
Later Career Teams
Williams continued his professional career by playing for several other teams. On June 11, 2019, he signed with the Puerto Rican club Atléticos de San Germán. Later that year, on July 15, 2019, he joined the Italian club Vanoli Cremona. After the pre-season, his contract ended, and he signed with Sigortam.net İTÜ BB in Turkey on September 23, 2019. He played only 3 games before his contract was ended.
His last known professional team was the Mexican club Fuerza Regia de Monterrey, which he joined on January 7, 2020. In 6 games, he averaged 5.8 points and 2.8 rebounds in about 13.8 minutes. Williams left the team on January 25, 2020.
