Kuan Hong, also known as Darren Chen, is a talented actor and model from Taiwan. He was born on January 15, 1995. Many people know him from his roles in popular TV shows. These include Meteor Garden (2018), My Unicorn Girl, and The Sleuth of the Ming Dynasty (2020). He has become a rising star in the entertainment world.

Darren Chen's Early Life and School
Darren Chen was born in Taipei, Taiwan. He grew up there and went to Taipei Municipal Heping High School. After high school, he studied English in college.
Darren enjoys playing different sports. His favorite hobbies include billiards, badminton, and ping pong. Before he started acting, he even thought about becoming a professional billiards player! But then, he decided to try modeling instead.
Darren Chen's Acting Journey
Starting Out and Becoming Popular (2016–2018)
Darren Chen began his acting career in 2016. His first role was Lin Yutang in a web series called Proud of Love. He also appeared in its second season.
In 2017, something big happened for Darren. He was chosen to play Hua Ze Lei in the 2018 TV show Meteor Garden. This show was based on a famous Japanese comic book series called Boys Over Flowers.
Darren and his Meteor Garden co-stars appeared in Harper's Bazaar China magazine. The show first aired in July 2018. After Meteor Garden, Darren became very famous. That same year, he also had a small role in the movie Oversize Love.
Main Roles and Continued Success (2019–Present)
In 2019, Darren Chen got his first main role. He starred in a historical mystery drama called The Sleuth of the Ming Dynasty. This show was produced by the famous Jackie Chan. It started showing in April 2020.
In the same year, Darren also played a main role in the youth sports drama My Unicorn Girl. He continued to act in more TV series. In 2021, he appeared in No Boundary and its second season. He has continued to take on many exciting roles since then.
