Darrin Reaves, born on April 17, 1993, is a former American football player. He was a running back, a player who carries the ball. Darrin played college football at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). After college, he joined the Carolina Panthers and later the Kansas City Chiefs.

Early Life and High School Football
Darrin Reaves was born in Birmingham, Alabama. He started playing football at a young age. He played for the Wahouma Seminoles in his hometown. Darrin then became a star player at Clay-Chalkville High School.
In his senior year (2010), his team did very well. They reached the state playoffs quarterfinals. After high school, Darrin decided to play college football at UAB.
College Football Career
Darrin played college football at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 2011 to 2013. During his time there, he was a very strong runner. He gained 2,343 yards by carrying the ball. He also scored 27 touchdowns.
After his junior year, Darrin decided to try for the NFL. He entered the 2014 NFL draft.
Playing in the NFL
Carolina Panthers
Darrin was not chosen in the 2014 NFL draft. However, he still got a chance to play. He signed with the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent. This means a team signed him even though he wasn't drafted.
Before the 2014 season began, the Panthers released him. But he quickly rejoined the team's practice squad. A practice squad is where players train with the team. They can be called up to play if needed. Darrin was released from the Panthers in July 2015.
Kansas City Chiefs
Darrin then signed with the Kansas City Chiefs in August 2015. He was released by the Chiefs in September. However, he was signed to their practice squad again in October.
In January 2016, the Chiefs signed Darrin to a future/reserve contract. This meant he would be part of the team for the next season. In September 2016, he was released by the Chiefs again. But he was signed back to their practice squad the very next day.
Darrin signed another contract with the Chiefs in January 2017. In May 2017, the Chiefs released him after reaching an injury settlement. This marked the end of his time with the team.
