Dave Ellis is an American musician who plays the saxophone. He grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area in California. Dave became well-known in the 1990s as a member of guitarist Charlie Hunter's band. Since then, Ellis has worked with Bob Weir, who was a member of the famous band Grateful Dead. He has also played with flugelhorn player Dmitri Matheny.
