Davi Santos is an American actor born on February 1, 1990. He is well-known for playing Sir Ivan, The Gold Ranger, in the TV series Power Rangers Dino Charge. He also played Dr. Joey Costa on the show Good Sam. Davi Santos is also a screenwriter. He starred in the film The Cure, which was first shown at the Cannes Film Festival.

Early Life and Education

Davi Santos was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In late 1990, his family moved to New York City. He grew up in Astoria, a neighborhood in Queens.

Davi went to the Professional Performing Arts School. He also attended LaGuardia Arts "Fame" High School. In 2008, he joined Macaulay Honors College at Lehman College. There, he created his own study program. It combined Cognitive Philosophy and Theatrical Arts. He also acted in a play called A View from the Bridge in 2010.

Martial Arts Training

Since he was 8 years old, Davi Santos has trained in martial arts. He holds a second-degree Black-belt in Shotokan Karate. This shows his dedication and discipline.

Davi Santos' Acting Career

Starting in Theatre and TV

Davi Santos began his career in theatre and commercials. Between 2009 and 2012, he performed in plays Off-Broadway. These plays were part of various festivals in New York. When he was a teenager, he wrote and appeared in a film called Lone Prophet. This film supported the DREAM Act. In 2011, he helped create Densely Hollow Films. Their first movie, The Cure, was shown at the Cannes Film Festival.

Davi got a role on the ABC comedy series Don't Trust the ... in Apartment 23. After that, he joined the cast of the sitcom Mr. Box Office for two seasons. He also appeared on other TV shows. These included Nickelodeon's How to Rock and ABC Family's Switched at Birth. He was also in Mystery Girls and Chasing Life.

Becoming a Power Ranger

In 2014, Davi Santos was cast as Sir Ivan of Zandar. This character is the Gold Ranger on Power Rangers Dino Charge. He played this main role for two seasons. He later returned as the Gold Ranger in two episodes of Power Rangers Beast Morphers. These episodes were "Finders Keepers" and "Grid Connection".

Recent Film and TV Roles

In 2017, Davi starred in the movie Something Like Summer. This film was based on a popular novel. That same year, Densely Hollow Films started making its first feature film, Adrift. Davi starred in this movie alongside Lauren Velez and Tony Plana. Davi also appeared in the horror film Polaroid, which came out in 2019.

In July 2018, Davi Santos was cast as Gabe. This was for the first season of the CBS All Access fantasy drama series Tell Me a Story. The show premiered in October of that year. In 2022, he became a regular cast member on Good Sam, playing Dr. Joey Costa.
