About David Brandes
David Brandes was born in Switzerland but grew up in Germany. He has worked with many famous musicians, helping them create their songs and albums. Some of the artists he has produced for include E-Rotic, Bad Boys Blue, Chris Norman, Lemon Ice, and Vanilla Ninja. In 1994, he even had two hit songs of his own in Europe: "Heartbreak Angel" and "Heartless Dancer." By 1995, a well-known music magazine called Billboard recognized him as one of Germany's best music producers.
Working with Artists
In 2005, there was a situation where some of David Brandes's music projects faced a challenge. This led to the artists he produced being temporarily paused from appearing on the German Top 100 music charts for three months. Despite this, the singer Gracia continued to work with Brandes, while Vanilla Ninja chose a different path.
Eurovision Song Contest
Because David Brandes was managing both Gracia and Vanilla Ninja at the time, he had two songs in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005. Gracia's song, "Run & Hide," represented Germany. Vanilla Ninja's song, "Cool Vibes," represented Switzerland.
