David Concha Salas (born on November 20, 1996) is a Spanish professional footballer. He plays as a right winger or forward. Currently, he plays for Gimnàstic de Tarragona.

David Concha's Club Journey

Early Career and First Steps

David Concha was born in Santander, Cantabria. He started playing football at a young age. When he was 9, he joined the youth team of Racing de Santander. Before that, he played briefly for a small club called CD Marina Sport.

In December 2013, David was asked to train with Racing de Santander's main team. He was also chosen to play in a Copa del Rey match. This is a big football competition in Spain. On December 6, he played his first game for the senior team. He came in as a substitute in a match they lost 0–1 at home.

Just four days later, he played his first league game. He came off the bench again in a 1–0 home win. This game was in the Segunda División B, which is a lower division in Spanish football.

Scoring His First Goals

On January 8, 2014, David scored his first goal as a senior player. This goal helped his team draw 1–1 in a cup match. He played 13 games that season. Racing de Santander then moved up to the Segunda División, a higher league.

David played his first professional match on August 24, 2014. He started the game, but his team lost 1–0. On September 21, he scored his first goal in this division. It was the first goal in a 2–2 home draw.

Moving to La Liga

On July 4, 2015, David Concha signed a five-year contract. He joined Real Sociedad, a club in La Liga. This is the top football league in Spain. After signing, he was loaned to CD Numancia for one year. A "loan" means he played for another team for a while.

David made his debut in La Liga on August 21, 2016. He started in a game where his team lost 0–3 to Real Madrid.

New Teams and Challenges

On August 11, 2017, David was loaned again. This time, he went to FC Barcelona B for one year. This team plays in the second division. However, his loan ended early on January 31, 2018.

After not playing for over a year, David moved to a new country. On March 9, 2019, he joined Gamba Osaka in Japan. He was on loan there for one year. After playing only two official games, he returned to Spain. On February 27, 2020, he joined CD Badajoz.

On July 6, 2022, David signed a contract with Hammarby Fotboll. This is a team in Sweden's top league, the Allsvenskan. He played 14 games there. In January 2023, he decided to leave the team. He even announced he was retiring from football.

But David returned to playing on July 11, 2023. He signed a one-year deal with Gimnàstic de Tarragona. This team plays in the Primera Federación, another Spanish league.

David Concha's International Career

Playing for Spain's Youth Team

On May 16, 2014, David Concha was chosen to play for the Spain under-19 team. This team is for players who are 19 years old or younger.

He played for 75 minutes in the 2015 UEFA European Under-19 Championship. This is a big competition for youth teams in Europe. Spain lost 3–1 to Russia in a group stage match. Spain later played Russia again in the final and won the championship!
