David Horvath facts for kids
David Z. Horvath is an American artist, writer, and toy designer. He is most famous for creating the popular Uglydoll characters. He made these characters and their world, called The Uglyverse, with his wife, Sun-Min Kim. The Uglydoll toy line started in 2001. It began with a single plush toy named Wage. Sun-Min Kim sewed Wage by hand as a gift for David. This special gift then grew into a worldwide brand.
David and Sun-Min later got married. Today, they live in Los Angeles and have two children. Besides the plush Uglydoll toys, David has also written and illustrated 12 Uglydoll books. These include the "Ugly Guides" and a series of comic books. He also created the Bossy Bear series of children’s books. His books have been printed in Korean, Japanese, and Spanish.

Who is Noupa?
Noupa is a brave garbage man. He leads a small secret group against evil robots. These robots are called Super 7.5. It's a story about nature fighting against big businesses. The Noupa world has 21 characters. In the early 2000s, these characters were made into vinyl figures. Collectors often call the whole series "Noupa."
