Who is David Jemmali?

David Jemmali is a well-known former football player. He was born in Toulouse, France. He played football for many years at a high level. His main job on the field was to stop the opposing team from scoring goals.

David Jemmali started his professional career in 1994. He first played for Cannes until 1997. After that, he joined Bordeaux, where he stayed for a long time, from 1997 to 2008.

While playing for Bordeaux, David achieved some great things. His team won the top French league, Ligue 1, in the 1998–99 season. They also won the Coupe de la Ligue, a French cup competition, twice. They won it in 2002 and again in 2007. After leaving Bordeaux, he played for Grenoble from 2008 to 2010 before ending his career.

Playing for His Country

David Jemmali was born in France, but he also had Tunisian roots. For a while, he hoped to play for the French national team. Because of this, he said no to chances to play for Tunisia.

However, as the 2006 World Cup was getting closer, David decided to accept the offer from Tunisia. He made his first appearance for Tunisia on March 1, 2006. This game was against Serbia and Montenegro.

He was then chosen to be part of Tunisia's squad for the 2006 World Cup. David started in Tunisia's first game of the tournament, which was against Saudi Arabia. However, he did not play in the other two group matches.
