David Oppegaard is an American writer who creates exciting novels for readers of all ages. He was born on August 19, 1979.
About David Oppegaard
Early Life and Education
David Oppegaard was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He went to Saint Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. There, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. Later, he continued his studies at Hamline University in Saint Paul. He received a Master of Fine Arts degree from Hamline. This advanced degree helped him improve his writing skills.
His Writing Career
David Oppegaard's first novel was published in 2008. It was called The ... Collectors. This book was recognized by the Horror Writers Association. It was nominated for an award for best first novel.
Since then, Oppegaard has written many other books. He has written novels for adults and young-adult books for teens. One of his books, The Firebug of Balrog County, was a finalist for the Minnesota Book Award in 2016. He also wrote The Town Built on Sorrow.
His most recent novel is Claw Heart Mountain. This book was released in 2023 by CamCat Books. David Oppegaard continues to write new stories for his readers.
