David Rocco's Early Life
David Rocco was born on July 27, 1970, in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. His parents had moved to Canada from Naples, Italy. He is the youngest of three children. Later, his family moved to Woodbridge, Ontario when he was a teenager.
In 1995, David married his high school sweetheart, Nina. They later moved to Rosedale, Toronto. They have twin daughters and a son.
When he was a teenager, David worked as a model. He and Nina also took acting classes together. They even opened a restaurant called La Madonnina in Woodbridge. However, they closed it after a year to focus on acting.
David Rocco's TV Career
In 1997, David Rocco decided to try making a food show. He and his wife, Nina, filmed a video while on vacation in Italy. This video showed different Italian foods and places. They showed it to a TV production company in Toronto.
This led to a TV series with 26 episodes called Avventura: Journey in Italian Cuisine. It was all about food and travel.
David Rocco's Dolce Vita
In 2005, David Rocco created his own TV series, David Rocco's Dolce Vita. It first aired on Food Network Canada. The show became very popular and was shown in many countries, including the U.S. on the Cooking Channel. The series finished in 2010 after five seasons.

In 2021, David Rocco opened a restaurant in Yorkville, Toronto. It is called David Rocco - Bar Aperitivo. In 2022, he also launched his own brand of Italian-made pastas and sauces. The pastas include orecchiette, strozzapreti, and fusilli Pugliesi. His sauces include pomodoro & basilico, arrabbiata, puttanesca, and ricotta & pecorino.
