David Edward Washington (born November 20, 1990) is an American professional baseball player. He plays as a first baseman and outfielder. Currently, he plays for the York Revolution in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. David has also played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Baltimore Orioles.

Baseball Journey
St. Louis Cardinals
David Washington went to University City High School in San Diego, California. After high school, the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team chose him in the 15th round of the 2009 MLB Draft. He played for teams within the Cardinals organization until 2016.
In 2016, David played for two of the Cardinals' minor league teams. These were the Double–A Springfield Cardinals and the Triple–A Memphis Redbirds. He hit 30 home runs and helped score 77 runs in 127 games. After this season, he became a free agent. This meant he could sign with any team he wanted.
Baltimore Orioles
On November 22, 2016, David signed a contract with the Baltimore Orioles. On June 14, 2017, he was called up to play in the major leagues for the first time. He made his MLB debut on the same day. He played in 3 games for the Orioles but did not get any hits. On July 6, the Orioles moved him off their main team roster.
David was then sent to the Triple–A Norfolk Tides. He played 103 games for the Tides. He hit 18 home runs and helped score 42 runs. After the season, he became a free agent again.
Long Island Ducks
On February 13, 2018, David signed with the Long Island Ducks. This team plays in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, which is an independent league. He played for the Ducks again in 2019.
Milwaukee Milkmen
On February 3, 2020, David joined the Milwaukee Milkmen. This team is part of the American Association. He played 60 games for them, hitting 8 home runs. In 2020, David and the Milkmen won the American Association championship.
He signed with the Milkmen again in 2021. That year, he played 62 games. He hit 17 home runs and helped score 61 runs. He also stole 8 bases.
Winnipeg Goldeyes
On January 6, 2022, David was traded to the Winnipeg Goldeyes. This team is also in the American Association. He played 99 games for Winnipeg. He hit 30 home runs and helped score 80 runs. He also stole 13 bases.
Gastonia Honey Hunters

Dorados de Chihuahua

On May 3, 2024, David signed with the York Revolution. This team is in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. In 50 games for York, he hit 23 home runs and helped score 60 runs.
Saraperos de Saltillo
On July 1, 2024, another team, the Saraperos de Saltillo from the Mexican League, bought David's contract. He played only three games for them before being released on July 5.
York Revolution (second time)
On July 16, 2024, David signed with the York Revolution again. With the York Revolution, David and his team won the Atlantic League championship.
