De'Alonzio Jackson, also known as DJ Jackson, is a talented American athlete. He is famous for his skills in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and mixed martial arts. DJ Jackson lives in Thailand and has won many world championships in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He is also known for being the first African-American to become a world champion in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Early Life and Sports
DJ Jackson was born on October 31, 1988, in Maryland, USA. When he was in high school at DeMatha Catholic High School, he started playing sports. His first sport was wrestling.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Journey
When DJ Jackson began learning Brazilian jiu-jitsu, his coach, Lloyd Irvin, quickly noticed his talent. His coach encouraged him to start competing very early. DJ Jackson quickly became a star in big competitions. He won against many opponents. Because he was so athletic and skilled, he earned his black belt in 2012. This was very fast, happening in less than four years!
Mixed Martial Arts Fights
While he was excelling in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, DJ Jackson also decided to try mixed martial arts (MMA). He competed in four MMA fights between 2015 and 2016. He won all four of these fights. Two of his wins were by submission, which means he made his opponent give up.
Coaching and Mentoring
Since 2019, DJ Jackson has been a coach in Thailand. He teaches both Brazilian jiu-jitsu and mixed martial arts. Under his guidance, many of his students have achieved great success. Some of his students, like Stamp Fairtex, Arash Mardani, Reza Goodary, and Mark Abelardo, have won international medals. They have competed in important events such as the Siam Cup BJJ and COPA de Bangkok.
