Deante' Van Hitchcock (born March 10, 1993) is an American rapper from Riverdale, Georgia. He first became known for his mixtapes like 19 Summers (2012), Wishful Thinking (2015), and Good (2016). In 2016, he gained a lot of attention online with his weekly freestyle series called "New Atlanta Tuesday's." He signed with ByStorm and RCA Records in 2017. His first major album, Better, came out on May 13, 2020.

Early Life and Musical Start

Deante' Hitchcock grew up in Riverdale, a small town near Atlanta, Georgia. He started rapping when he was 12 years old and was part of a music group. His uncle, who helped write the famous song "No Scrubs" for TLC, introduced him to the world of music. Deante' went to Georgia Southern University, but he decided to leave during his third year to focus completely on his music career.

Early Career and First Projects (2012–2018)

Deante' Hitchcock's music career officially began while he was in college. He released his first mixtape, 19 Summers, on September 17, 2012. His next official mixtape, Wishful Thinking, came out on February 24, 2015.

In 2016, Deante' became more widely known. He started releasing weekly freestyle raps that went viral online. These videos even caught the attention of famous rapper Wale. On July 28, 2016, he released his second mixtape, Good. This mixtape was special because it was available to buy and stream, and it was the first part of a three-album series. A live recording of this mixtape, Good: Live, was released on March 9, 2017.

Before that, on Valentine's Day in 2017, Deante' released his first short album, called an EP, titled Just a Sample. Later that year, on July 9, 2017, he released another EP called No Pressure with fellow Atlanta rapper Michael Aristotle.

Deante's career got a big boost when he signed with RCA and ByStorm. Through them, he released the six-song EP So Much for Good Luck on October 13, 2017. This EP included the popular song "Wide Open," which featured GoldLink. On June 18, 2018, he released his fourth EP, Thank You For Your Patience. This EP came out after his main album was delayed because of issues with music samples. In late 2018, he joined 6LACK on his "From East Atlanta With Love" tour.

New Music and Albums (2019–Present)

On January 6, 2019, Deante' Hitchcock was invited to special recording sessions for Dreamville. He appeared on the song "PTSD" for their compilation album Revenge of the Dreamers III.

On March 15, he released the EP Just a Sample 2. This EP featured other artists like Childish Major, H.E.R., and Kilo Ali.

More recently, on February 18, 2022, Deante' Hitchcock released an EP called Everyday the 14TH. This project included guest appearances from artists such as Bairi, Dende, DaVionne, JaelSpeaks, Chris Patrick, and ELHAE.
