Deepak Gupta, born on September 14, 1977, is an American lawyer. He is well-known for helping regular people, like consumers and workers. He takes their important cases to the highest courts in the United States, including the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Gupta also teaches law at Harvard Law School. He is the founder of a law firm called Gupta Wessler LLP.

Deepak Gupta's Early Life and Schooling

Deepak Gupta went to Fordham University. There, he earned a degree in philosophy. He then studied law at Georgetown University. He also spent some time in England. While in England, he studied Sanskrit at the University of Oxford. After finishing law school, he worked for a judge named Lawrence K. Karlton.

Deepak Gupta's Career as a Lawyer

Mr. Gupta teaches law at Harvard Law School. He helps students learn about cases that go to the Supreme Court. Before starting his own firm, he worked for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. This agency helps protect consumers in financial matters. He was the first lawyer hired there to handle appeals.
