Deer Lake is a small, somewhat round-shaped lake located in the northern part of Highlands County, Florida. It sits just southeast of Luck Lake and about half a mile west of Fox Lake.

Deer Lake covers an area of 27.78 acres, which is about the size of 20 football fields! It is found at an elevation of 95 feet (29 meters) above sea level.
Where is Deer Lake?
The western side of Deer Lake is bordered by houses and Deer Lake Road. On all other sides, the lake is surrounded by large fields of citrus groves. These groves are where fruits like oranges and grapefruits are grown.
Access to the Lake
Because Deer Lake is completely surrounded by private property, there is no public access. This means people cannot easily visit the lake for activities like fishing or boating.
