Delano "Dell" Demps (born February 12, 1970) is an American basketball expert. He used to play basketball professionally. Now, he works in the front office for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Before this, he was an assistant coach for the Utah Jazz. He also worked as the general manager for the New Orleans Hornets/Pelicans from 2010 to 2019. As a player, Demps played in the NBA for teams like the Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs, and Orlando Magic. He also played college basketball for the Pacific Tigers. Besides playing in the U.S., he played basketball in other countries like France, Greece, Croatia, Turkey, and the Philippines.

After his playing career ended, Dell Demps became an assistant coach. He worked for the Mobile Revelers in the National Basketball Development League for two seasons. In 2003, his team won a championship!
Becoming a Scout and Director
In 2003, Demps joined the New York Knicks as a scout. A scout helps find new talented players. In 2005, the San Antonio Spurs hired him. He became their director of professional player personnel.
