David Delmar Watson (born July 1, 1926 – died October 26, 2008) was an American child actor. He also became a news photographer later in life.

A Young Star in Hollywood
Delmar Watson was one of nine children. His father, Coy Watson Sr., was an actor and special effects artist. The family lived in the Echo Park area of Los Angeles. Delmar went to Belmont High School.
Acting with Famous Stars
Delmar started acting when he was very young. He appeared in many films. He acted alongside famous stars like James Stewart in Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. He also worked with Shirley Temple in the movie Heidi. In Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, Delmar and his brothers played the governor's sons.
The Watson Family's Legacy
Delmar wasn't the only actor in his family! All eight of his brothers and sisters also acted in movies. Some of his acting siblings included Coy Jr., Harry, and Bobs. Because so many of them were actors, the Watson family was known as "the First Family of Hollywood." They even have a special star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Beyond Acting: Photography and Books
After his acting career, Delmar Watson became a news photographer. He also wrote and published five books. These books often focused on the history of Los Angeles and the Olympic Games. Some of his books included "Quick, Watson, The Camera' and Los Angeles The Olympic City, 1932–1984.
Delmar Watson passed away on October 26, 2008. He was 82 years old.
