Demitrius Bronson, born on March 6, 1990, is an American professional wrestler. He used to be a running back in American football, playing for teams like the Seattle Seahawks and Miami Dolphins in the National Football League (NFL). Later, he joined WWE and trained with their NXT brand.

Early Life and High School Football

Demitrius Bronson was born in Kent, Washington. His parents are Johnny and Sandra Bronson. He has two brothers, John and Josiah, who also played college football. John played for Penn State and the Arizona Cardinals. Josiah played for Temple Owls and later for UW Huskies.

Demitrius was a talented football player in high school. He ran for a total of 3,810 yards during his high school career. In his final season, he gained 1,450 rushing yards. He graduated from Kentwood High School in 2008. After high school, he received a football scholarship to the University of Washington.

College Football Journey

Bronson started his college football career at the University of Washington. He played there for two years. In 2009, he was a backup player and ran for 89 yards. He did not play in 2010.

Later, Bronson transferred to Eastern Washington University. He played his first game for them on September 3, 2011. During his time at Eastern Washington, he was a strong player. He ran for a total of 687 yards and scored 14 touchdowns. He also caught 8 passes for 51 yards. While studying there, he focused on sociology and earned academic honors.

Career history

After college, Demitrius Bronson was not chosen in the 2014 NFL draft. However, he signed a contract with the Seattle Seahawks on June 17, 2014. He was released later that year but rejoined the team's practice squad. In the 2014 preseason, he ran for 76 yards.

He stayed with the Seahawks' practice squad into 2015. On August 10, 2015, the Miami Dolphins signed Bronson to their team.

Becoming a Professional Wrestler

Joining WWE's NXT

In October 2016, Demitrius Bronson began a new career path. He was announced as one of nine new athletes to sign with NXT. NXT is the training program for WWE superstars. He started training at the WWE Performance Center.

Bronson made his first professional wrestling appearance on March 3, 2017. This was at a live NXT event in Florida. He teamed up with HoHo Lun but they lost their match. His first time on a televised NXT show was on September 27, 2017. He teamed with Patrick Scott, but they were defeated by Heavy Machinery. On June 2, 2018, Bronson was released from WWE.
